Responsible for the visual brilliance of several of the opening sections of the magazine you will play a pivotal role in shaping the kind of content that Brides is renowned for. You will be experienced in conceptualising and directing major shoots, creating stunning mood boards brimming with fresh, new bridal ideas and be able to oversee the production and photography to Conde Nast standards. WIRED.co.uk has an exciting vacancy for a talented Staff Writer to join its expanding digital team.   

This is a full-time position and will almost exclusively involve writing and producing compelling online multi-media stories for WIRED.co.uk and the WIRED magazine. 

The position would suit somebody with proven experience in online journalism, and an exhaustive depth of ideas and energy, looking to take the next step in their career. The best candidate will be able to write tight and timely breaking news, turn their hand to reviews, features, video and audio production, and most importantly live and breathe the concepts, technology and innovation that fuel the WIRED world. 

The Staff Writer will also take a key role in social media promotion, get involved with all editorial meetings and planning, join our podcast and arrive every day with great ideas for stories, galleries, videos and features.   

Experience writing original copy for an online publication is key. A passion for technology, science and culture is also an absolute must. Senior Test Analyst - 1004/STA

Condé Nast are excited to advertise the new opportunity of a Senior Test Analyst to join the new and innovative  Marketing team. This team which is part of an even more exciting new ecommerce start-up  is formed from and invested in by Condé Nast and Condé Nast International and it is an opportunity you certainly don't want to miss out on!

The technical development team is responsible for the CN Commerce customer facing websites across Desktop, Tablet and Mobile and the integration of our systems with third parties. We are looking for a test analyst to help us build new systems and product enhancements to our customers.

Testing is an integral part of our development process. We work in a highly collaborative agile (Scrum) environment where testers are expected to contribute to planning, stand-ups, showcases and retrospectives. The successful candidate will analyse user stories and, working alongside business analysts and developers, formulate and execute acceptance tests. The position is within a small but specialised test team and therefore you will be expected to work with a dedicated agile team where you could be the only tester. The successful candidate will demonstrate skills such as being creative, technically aware, highly skilled at testing, and driven towards continuous improvement.  

Ideal Experience Required:

  • Exposure to working in a BDD environment and expressing tests using Gherkin
  • Application of high-level programming languages for automation frameworks (i.e. Ruby, but Java and C# for tools such as Selenium Webdriver would be advantageous)

  • Client-side unit testing frameworks (Jasmine, Mocha, Chai, etc)

  • In-depth knowledge of cross-browser/platform compatibilities and their capabilities in terms of rendering CSS, HTML and JavaScript
  • Understanding of content management systems (ideally Adobe AEM/CQ)
  • Integration of analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Progressive enhancement and graceful degradation

  • Experience with various social networking APIs such as Facebook or Twitter APIs
