BRIDES seeks an Online Intern to support the BridesMagazine.co.uk team, keeping us at the cyber forefront of the wedding world.

The ideal candidate will be a digital native capable of learning new skills and programmes quickly. He/she will have some journalistic training or editorial experience and have previously used a CMS of some kind. A thorough understanding of social media and how to use it as an effective traffic driver, whilst keeping true to the tone of the brand, is essential.

Day-to-day duties include supporting the team with general admin, handling PR enquiries, overseeing daily website updates, building content from the magazine and sharing it in an engaging manner.

Skills & Qualities:

The successful candidate will possess advanced PA and computer skills, and will be highly internet savvy. They will be incredibly organised, proactive and resourceful, able to work with pride on a variety of tasks simultaneously. Editorial Business provides the link between editorial, finance and the contributors in all matters relating to commissioning, costs and rights. We ensure the smooth running of all these activities. Working closely with the editorial department of your given title/s, key responsibilities of the position will involve:

  • Supporting Managing Editors by monitoring and controlling all costs and rights relating to editorial content
  • Working with the Managing Editor to manage budgets, allocate costs, review and report editorial spend
  • Negotiating licensing agreements and copyright contracts with contributors i.e. photographers, writers, illustrators
  • Negotiating personality / celebrity agreements and making sure the necessary access is in place for shoots

Key Skills & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have completed or is working towards a CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) qualification (or equivalent), have a keen interest in Human Resources and be willing to work with HR professionals at all levels.  Candidates need to be extremely discreet due to confidential information, be approachable and have the ability to be firm when needed.


Proficient skills in MS Office packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are essential. Experience using ADP HR.net (Condé Nast HRIS) would be a bonus but is not essential.

Working alongside the team in the offices of Britain's best luxury travel magazine, you will learn how to use our content management system and publish content online directly to CNTraveller.com.

You will be responsible for uploading content from Condé Nast Traveller magazine each month, creating online versions of the news and features.

Our new site features several different ways to display features online, so you will have a good eye for images and design, as well as a love of travel journalism.

There will occasionally be the chance to write content for the website, so the job is good for someone who wants to gain editorial experience within a successful consumer-facing travel environment. Please note that travel is not part of the role.

Condé Nast Traveller's hugely successful website CNTraveller.com is looking for an enthusiastic intern with ambitions in social media and digital marketing.

Working alongside the online editorial team in the offices of Britain's best luxury travel magazine, you will learn and then co-ordinate the output of our extensive social media channels.

You will write, schedule and publish tweets, Facebook posts, Pinterest boards and Instagram images to our hugely successful social media streams which reach around 400,000 luxury travel fans each day.

You will reach out and collaborate with other digital partners to maximise traffic to the CNTraveller.com website, and will report on success. You will be able to deliver creative ideas for hashtags, piggy-backing trending topics and be confident in creating bespoke Pinterest boards. You will understand the need of our social media channels to reflect the Condé Nast Traveller brand, and as such have a good knowledge of the magazine and website.

You will be taught how to use social media publishing and reporting software, but be expected to already have extensive experience of using various forms social media, either for your own or for a group or organisation.
