Editorial Intern - 271

(6-month Contract starting end of August 2015 paid at National Minimum Wage) has an exciting vacancy for an enthusiastic intern to join its expanding editorial team. This is a six-month paid internship and a chance to get directly involved in's daily news and features process and experience the way WIRED magazine and work together.

The primary role of the successful candidate involves production, such as preparing WIRED magazine content for online publication, as well as supporting the Editor and Associate Editor 
with uploading freelance copy to and other tasks. The best candidate will also be able to write tight and timely original content for the website's news channel, help with social media activity, get involved with all editorial meetings and planning, join our podcast and arrive every day with great ideas for stories, photographs and features. Writing longform features is also an option for exceptional candidates.

A passion for technology, science and culture is an absolute must and a creative mind is key to being successful. Knowledge of web publishing systems is enormously advantageous, as is experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat. Experience writing original copy for an online or print publication is, naturally, also preferable, though not essential.

The Condé Nast Press Office is seeking a sparky and motivated Publicity Assistant (maternity cover) to help with the smooth running of the department, delivering a benchmark media and public relations service for all brands and business divisions within Condé Nast Britain.

      Photographic Director - 214 

GQ, Britain's biggest-selling quality men's magazine, is seeking an enthusiastic, organized and resourceful Photographic Director to join their London based Art department. The key purpose of this role is to source and commission all photography for GQ and GQ supplements.

Reporting to the Editor and Creative Director, your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)

  • Sourcing top-quality imagery for all sections of the magazine, negotiating rates, getting approvals, writing captions & credits, managing tight budgets and ensuring the magazine comes in under budget 
  • Producing every aspect of all photo shoots (except main fashion stories) from booking travel, organising catering, sourcing locations, to booking the stylist
  • Conceiving concepts, presenting creative visual storyboards and commissioning photographers with clear, detailed briefs for all shoots including cover and inside for every issue
  • Briefing photographers and compiling mood boards and art directing shoots for all sections of the magazine, while also maintaining a sharp eye for new talent
  • Managing picture deadlines and ensuring the art team have every image ready for the feature to be designed

      Advertising Analyst - 263

Reporting to the Business Analysis Manager, the Advertising Analyst liaises between Sales, Finance, IT and Condé Nast International to aid in the smooth running of advertising sales in each of the twelve titles and websites. The candidate will provide accurate and timely reporting on the advertising side of the business, monitor key advertisers and assist in the advertising forecasts.

The Video & Production department is seeking a Senior Strategist to work under the Commercial Director of Video to plan, strategize and deliver engaging branded content for clients that increases the reputation and visibility of Condé Nast's new video offering, across all publications.

As Senior Strategist you will operate alongside other members of the Team to create content driven pitches that form part of an overall client plan. In this role you will develop and execute Condé Nast's clients overall digital content strategies in two ways.

  • Primary (80%): Your focus will be on interrogating briefs and developing content-led responses. For these responses, you will work with the content team to develop ideas, audience insights, social participation methods, and distribution strategies. You will be working closely with creative producers and the Director of Video Content. You will also be responsible for tracking the project along its lifespan & ensuring each project is wrapped with a conclusive, impressive case study. In this role you will assist a range of clients, in exploring the various avenues for creating engaging content for new and existing audiences. 
  • Secondary (20%): In collaboration with the content team, you will compile content-led brand pitches that can be archived and utilised retroactively. 

You will have proven experience within the branded content world. You will have worked across many branded campaigns - with video content specifically. A good understanding of the fashion and culture industries is preferable. You must be able to prepare thoughtful and style-led proposals and be able to work across multiple projects & clients simultaneously. You are diligent, thorough and strategy-led in your approach.

Ideally you have client facing & pitch-based experience and can handle working around ever-shifting deadlines. This role is very exciting for the right person.

Creative Producer, GQ - 204

The newly created Video & Production department are seeking a Creative Producer for GQ Magazine. You will be a key member of the Video & Production team, responsible for leading the production of GQ video content of extremely high creative standards, which leads, enhances, builds and develops GQ's reputation in video.  You will work with and support the Director of Video Content and the GQ Editorial team to commission and produce editorial videos.

The suitable candidate will have previous experience in producing editorial and branded content and be comfortable writing presentations and treatments to communicate the GQ video ideas and plans. You will have managed shoot budgets and expenditure for your previous productions to a commercial level. You will also be calm, diligent and extremely conscientious with the ability to diffuse any problematic productions. To do this you will need strong communication skills and will be able to manage talent at all levels. A passion and enthusiasm for fashion, music, and culture will also be a prerequisite.

Key Deliverables

  • You will work collaboratively and directly with producers, directors, production companies, freelance producers, and talent to produce content that is successful online and represents the creativity and quality of GQ. 
  • You will manage shoot budgets and expenditure for your productions and ensure an accurate monitoring of spend. You will also manage the overarching GQ editorial video budget.
  • You will manage the communication process between the central production department and the GQ editorial team and also develop external relationships with some of the highest profile talent in both the fashion and production industries. Senior Test Analyst - 1004/STA

Condé Nast are excited to advertise the new opportunity of a Senior Test Analyst to join the new and innovative  Marketing team. This team which is part of an even more exciting new ecommerce start-up  is formed from and invested in by Condé Nast and Condé Nast International and it is an opportunity you certainly don't want to miss out on!

The technical development team is responsible for the CN Commerce customer facing websites across Desktop, Tablet and Mobile and the integration of our systems with third parties. We are looking for a test analyst to help us build new systems and product enhancements to our customers.

Testing is an integral part of our development process. We work in a highly collaborative agile (Scrum) environment where testers are expected to contribute to planning, stand-ups, showcases and retrospectives. The successful candidate will analyse user stories and, working alongside business analysts and developers, formulate and execute acceptance tests. The position is within a small but specialised test team and therefore you will be expected to work with a dedicated agile team where you could be the only tester. The successful candidate will demonstrate skills such as being creative, technically aware, highly skilled at testing, and driven towards continuous improvement.  

Essential Experience Required:

  • Extensive eCommerce testing experience, ideally in the retail sector
  • Functional system level testing of web-based enterprise applications and services
  • Exposure to working in an Agile (Scrum) development environment

Key responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly understand customer behavior and optimise customer journey and user experience, including content and promotions to maximise product visibility and sales performance using MVT and A/B testing.
  • Work with content teams to deliver inspirational content to drive engagement strategies including promotional and seasonal campaigns, plan and influence priorities on homepage and landing pages and track the performance of those initiatives working closely with the Analytics and Business Development team.
  • Contribute to the marketing campaign planning and provide product and brand guidelines when campaigns are developed.
