Vogue Promotions is looking for an experienced Promotions Art Director fluent in commissioning photographers, models, hair/makeup, stylists etc. and comfortable organising large-scale fashion and beauty shoots both in the UK and internationally.  The candidate must have strong art directorial skills, an understanding of promotions and be swift at coming up with imaginative pitch concepts and responding to creative briefs.

WIRED EDITORIAL
Editorial Assistant
(6-month Internship Paid at National Minimum Wage) 

WIRED is offering an editorial internship beginning in July at its London office on a six-month fixed term basis. This presents a rare and valuable opportunity to participate in magazine production at the highest level. The successful candidate will also be offered the chance to continue his or her relationship with WIRED by contributing to the magazine on a freelance basis. We are looking for an energetic, driven individual who can show evidence of being committed to journalism as a career. Candidates must also demonstrate a close familiarity with the magazine and understand its particular editorial and design requirements.

The editorial intern will be actively involved in generating ideas for the various magazine sections; writing items as required; researching and fact-checking; liaising with contributors and performing other tasks as required in the busy production schedule of a monthly magazine.

Job Purpose

Key Skills & Qualifications

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with proven experience supporting at board level, ideally within the publishing or creative sector. Good grammar and spelling, drafting, writing and proof-reading abilities are essential. A flair for research and lateral thinking is an absolute must. Familiarity and proficiency with foreign languages beneficial but by no means essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive and advanced secretarial support, including extensive diary management and travel arrangements (domestic and international).
  • Producing, drafting and proof-reading correspondence.
  • Assisting with the preparation of business materials especially Company documents.
  • Reviewing and summarising business reports and documents.
  • Coordinating a variety of business meetings, making sure Nicholas Coleridge is fully briefed in advance and that all appropriate material is collated afterwards.
  • Communicating instructions to colleagues and providing any feedback.
  • Planning and organising meetings, events, staff functions, arranging accommodation and special requirements as necessary.
  • Ensuring all actions from meetings and correspondence are implemented and recorded.
  • Line managing the Junior Assistant and Chauffeur.
  • Where appropriate, making decisions in Nicholas Coleridge's absence on any issues which can be resolved.
  • Liaising with a wide and varied range of business and personal contacts; management of all associated scenarios and situations.
  • Prioritising and managing multiple projects simultaneously whilst supporting Nicholas Coleridge on a day-to-day basis.

VOGUE INDIA
Picture Editor

Condé Nast India is seeking an experienced Picture Editor with a passionate interest in modern and archival photography to join Vogue India's editorial team in Mumbai.

The job involves commissioning photography, in collaboration with the Art Director and the Features Departments, as well as organising photo shoots and liaising externally with photographers, agents, hair and make-up artists, production houses and both international and Indian photo libraries. It also involves all the regular tasks of a busy picture Department, from scanning images for layouts, returns, and ordering prints for repro, to researching and buying photography for all sections of the magazine. They will also be responsible for managing the budget and photographer contracts. The Picture Editor liaises with department heads, rights and syndication departments, and is responsible for creating and maintaining the many photo-story files and the Vogue India archive kept by the department. 

The person we are looking for will need to be comfortable working as part of a team, extremely well organised, confident and efficient, with a pleasant telephone manner and good people skills. They must be competent at organising photo shoots both within India and internationally. Computer literacy is essential as well as strong Adobe Photoshop CS. Some experience of data management systems would be useful but is not essential.

Copy Chief

Condé Nast India is seeking a talented full-time Copy Chief to join Vogue India's editorial team in Mumbai.

He/she will create story briefs in consultation with the section editors, edit stories written both in-house and by freelancers and provide innovative headlines and decks for stories. The successful candidate must be able to ensure that all articles are of international standard in terms of quality, style and flair. Also, excellent leadership, motivational and organizational skills are required, as this role will require close monitoring of shipping deadlines.

The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in editing copy, of which at least 2 years should be experience on a magazine or newspaper. The successful applicant will have an excellent handle on grammar, keen attention to detail and a good understanding of the magazine's voice as well as the confidence to make sound decisions under pressure.

Junior Coordinator - 194

The International Permissions team is looking for a junior member to join our busy and challenging department. 

The UK International Permissions team facilitates the exchange of material within Condé Nast; coordinating with Condé Nast titles around the world to provide original British material to other titles within the Condé Nast umbrella, thereby providing a range of benefits to the group as a whole.  

This role involves processing information regarding copyright, costs and image data for individual features and contributors. The successful candidate will be required to liaise with international Condé Nast staff, Condé Nast contributors, agents and on occasion subjects, to ensure the smooth running of the requesting system. You will also work with the other members of the International Permissions team to syndicate UK Condé Nast material to third parties, liaising with contributors and agents as well as the external client. This will require a very basic knowledge of copyright regulations. 

You will work closely with the Editorial Business department for all queries regarding rights and costs. You will also work alongside Condé Nast International to ensure the successful implementation of their strategies and provide information required for reports and future planning.

Condé Nast International's newly appointed Director of Talent requires an extremely efficient, highly organised and enthusiastic PA to provide complete administrative support. This role entails diary management, correspondence, and organisation of both internal and external meetings.  

In particular, the candidate will: 

  • Manage the busy diary of the Director of Talent, including meetings, calls and extensive travel arrangements
  • Manage expenses, administrate regular business reporting and organise events and travel
  • Compiling data on systems for an internal and external database of talent
